Goto: For a Worthy Cause
In response to a campaign to raise money for a billboard mocking USC, 2005 graduate Michael Thompson has created "For a Worthy Cause". It's a website to raise $10,000 to donate to Save the Children charity. This is truly worth a good look, so open your pocketbooks and donate for something worthwhile, not a billboard.
Welcome to ForaWorthyCause.com, a site dedicated to raising money for the Save the Children charity. I started this site and this project in response to a group of LSU, Texas, and ucla fans who have solicited $10,000 in donations to rent a billboard in the Los Angeles area denigrating USC's football accomplishments. I believe the Trojan Family can raise money for something more important than a petty feud.
The Gulf Coast region was devastated by the 2005 Hurricane season. Save the Children is an organization that has been dedicated to helping children and communities affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita recover. Save the Children has received an 'A' grade from the American Institute of Philanthropy for its relief services to the victims of these hurricanes. For four straight years, Save the Children has received the top rating (four stars) from Charity Navigator, a website that tracks the efficiency and stability of charities.
So please help this important cause by donating today. 100% of all money received will go to the Save the Children charity! Not only will you be helping children who need aid, you will help the Trojan Family set an example for others and counter the media attention generated by any billboard put up around USC.
Thanks and Fight On,Michael Thompson
